Sigh...Another set of Multiples

so This picture came across my feed on facebook the other day with the caption "we got to do better. Let's help our own"

is it bad that the first thing that crossed my mind was if dude got some golden showers?

anyway. I'm not feeling it. Yes I sympathize with women who aren't able to have children but that's it. When you take fertility Drugs, ESPECIALLY after Jon and Kate, Octomom, and all the others, you should know that chances of producing several viable embryos are quite high and you should also know that the chances of each of the embryos developing into fully formed human beings over the next few months is also quite high. Modern Science has come a long way. At this point someone should be doing some cost analysis here. They say it takes 500G to raise a Basic Baby. times that by 6 and you get $3,000,000 that's 3 Million Dollars (just in case those zeroes were throwing you off.) Will they even make 3 milli in their own lifetime? Probably not, I think I read their combined income was under 100g per year, now with her staying home to care for the children they will be living solely off his income and of course this is where we all come in.
Now people are anegered that this family isn't receiving the help that fairer complected families receive. Well I'm not going to delve into that debate. This blogger does if you want to read it
I'm going to tell you why I erased this news feed from my FB.

Invitro isn't free. The poor woman who can not conceive children will be stuck praying for a miracle or relegated to the neighborhood auntymommy. I don't agree with the fact that simply because Science CAN produce 600 embryos that we should implant every single one of them. Whether black or white I think the pictures and photo ops are cute but at the end of the day it was our choice. People compared this family to the duggards. Let me tell you why I don't agree with that Comparison. The Duggards are self sufficient. The dad owns shit. They've built their last two homes themselves. This was even before they had reality TV money. So i can be amsued at the antics of this family because I in no way am effected by thier choiced. Octomom had 8 Kids with the aid of fertility secrets, now that her money is dwindling and she wasn't able to cash in on the fame and unusualness of her situation she may be going on welfare. If I were a citizen of California I'd Be PISSED. Now the McGhee family will be living off one income. 8 mouths to feed 1 income, not even breaking 100g. Even i know the math. Public Assistance. Now people are outraged that "our" community isn't helping them out. Well Excuse the hell out of me, when one makes the argument that a single mother needs help everyone's all like "Oh the whore should have learned to keep her legs shut" but b/c these are multiples, this should be a special case and we should just all dole out help? This is wrong as hell. It isn't natural to conceive this many children at once and most species who can do so only know that maybe 1% percent will survive the 1st year of life. This isn't the case here.
When will we draw the line and say enough is enough?

Lets presume those are some basic ass carseats, at $89 a seat, that's $534 in that picture alone. And that's just the car ride home.

So no "We" aint gots to do better. They do.
